These tutorials grow out of my teaching and studio practice, with an emphasis on observation, spatial understanding, and freehand drawing. Drawing is approached not only as a means of representation, but as a way to see more carefully and engage more directly with our environment, architecture, and place.
Direct observation is fundamental to both design and artistic practice.

A focused drawing tutorial on using one-point perspective as a framework for observation. The lesson begins with the horizon line and vanishing point, then develops the major spatial relationships through a freehand architectural drawing.
